Bob Brownsey

Bob has a long family history with Grass Lake, starting in 1836 when his great, great grandparents, John and Lavina Bunker moved from New York to Grass Lake. They acquired 80 acres north of town and began farming the land. The farm grew to over 300 acres during the next 140 years that the family owned the property.

Bob was raised in Detroit, Michigan and spent many days at his grandparents’ home on the lake. After college and a 4 year commitment in the US Air Force, he took a position with General Motors as a supplier manager. After 35 years of service with GM, Bob retired. He is now the owner of RBCarpentry LLC, a custom wood working company.

Bob has always had an interest in trains and model railroading. He enjoys working with the team on restoration projects at the Lost Railway Museum.
